FAQ

Here is a list of responses to the most common Incoming/Prospective Students questions:
1) Freshmen Muslim Roommate requests
JHUMA does try to facilitate Muslim roommates for Freshmen, however we are not partnered with Housing. Students interested have emailed us and we try to connect the two students who then fill out their preferred roommate forms through Housing.

Tips:
By joining your JHU class Facebook page you will be connected to other incoming Freshmen, and can contact students directly to request a roommate.

2) Halal Food on Campus
The Fresh Food Cafe (FFC) serves halal meat on a pre-order basis. If you call in to Dining before heading over, they will have it prepared for you. If you go to the dining hall and ask in person, they will begin cleaning down then and preparing it (which will require a few minutes wait).
Nolan’s on 33rd a restaurant in the sophomore dorms, but open to everyone, officially serves only halal chicken. No need to call ahead, just go and order.
